Pull Lists - New Comic Book Reader App for iPhone and iPod Touch
One of our readers named Mookey left a really helpful comment about a new iPhone comic book reader application called Pull Lists. I’ll try to check it out this weekend, but until then here’s what Mookey had to say about it:
The app on the phone is very stable and simple to use, plus the Mac desktop app it uses to get your comics onto the phone looks and behaves a lot like iTunes.
Its a full-blown digital comic book library which I can even use to read my comics on my MacBook!!
I tried out the windows app, and its functional but not as nice as the Mac app… but the developer said he’s working on getting the windows version up to par with the mac one, so I have high hopes for that too.
Seriously check this out! The developers blog is at http://www.pulllists.com
According to the Pull Lists website, you can import digital comic book files by simply dragging-and-dropping them onto the application. Pull Lists will accept any files in the following file formats: .cbz, .cbr, .zip, .rar and .pdf (PDF is currently only available on the Mac Client)
They also say it has the following features:
- Full Multitouch Support
- Auto-rotate for portrait or landscape
- Categorized Listing by Publisher/Title/Issue Name
- iTunes-like blue dot indicating unread books
- Page memory: will open archive at the last page you visited
- Smart wifi importing via Bonjour (more about this in Pull List’s Library)
I’m looking forward to giving this app a spin around the block. If any of you readers have tried it, please leave a comment and let us know!

Great find, Sherm! Thanks for pointing this one out, looks really promising.
Hey, this is EJ from ActionsReaction! I was happy to see this posting here, and wanted to give a heads up to those of you who have or are thinking of purchasing Pull Lists. As Sherm posted above I provide (for free!) Desktop clients for both Mac and PC. The Mac App is full-featured, still beta as there’s still more I want to do with it. The PC App is more of an Alpha version currently, I just recently released the first version with it’s new interface and will shortly have available a more stable and user friendly update to it. There is still a LOT of work to be done on it, but I did want to make sure you all had this available to you asap. I try to get updates to this software out as quickly as possible without releasing overly buggy software. Any feedback or questions you may have please feel free to email me at actionsreaction AT gmail.com (sorry, formatted to prevent spamspamspamspam). I am always willing to take your comments & criticism, my goal here is to provide my users with the best experience that I can with this software.
Thanks! I hope you enjoy Pull Lists!
